All of us are called to grow in intimate, experiential knowledge of each member of the Trinity. But each one of us, in our core design, will resonate more to the work of one member of the Trinity.
Some people are community-oriented, offended by the destruction of relationships around them and carrying the Father’s heart for reconciliation and community.
Some people are dominion-oriented, grieved by victimization and powerlessness, and carrying Jesus’ heart for the restoration of dominion in His people.
You have discovered that you are called to creation. You are passionate about connecting with and restoring some aspect of God’s creation. You were hand-crafted by God to reflect the person and work of the Holy Spirit.
What do you do with that? The church has pigeonholed the work of the Holy Spirit into healing miracles, but there is so much more that God designed His people to walk in. There are endless possibilities and vistas to discover and steward in God’s creation.
If your heart resonates to the creation work of the Holy Spirit, but you are not quite sure which sector is yours or what you are supposed to do with it when you discover it, this class is for you. This class will expand your horizons by looking at a breadth of possibilities that await your exploration. You will assess your own design using a number of different grids, and work to bring the disparate pieces of your design into some kind of coherent whole, taking the beginning steps to unpack the treasures that are within you.
And during the course, you will explore different aspects of Scripture, following the trail of the work of the Holy Spirit and specific elements of your own design in the Word of God.
Becoming is a word that has fascinated me for many years. In Scripture it is often translated as “to come into being.” To me, those are grippingly beautiful, poetic words, evoking a world of possibilities, the joy of discovery, the hope of fulfillment, and a multitude of other emotions.
My own journey of becoming has taken many twists and turns over the years, but when I came to understand that my calling is wrapped up in the work of the Holy Spirit in restoring creation, my life came into focus and alignment.
It gives our God great joy to watch us come into the fullness of who He created us to be. And it will be my honour to walk alongside those of you who are intent on a journey of becoming, and who are called to steward some aspect of the creation work of the Holy Spirit.
