Intro to 100 Level Courses

These courses are designed to give you a reasonable mastery of a few of the core teachings of SLG, such as the redemptive gifts.  Many people have a light exposure to the core ideas, but not the level of competence needed to be transformed or to be transformational with them.  

There will not be much new material in the 100 level classes, although as we build out familiar teachings, there will be a reasonable amount of updated material included.

There is one exception to the no-new-content factor, and that is the classes on Thinking Clearly.  They will be totally new content at all levels.

Additional course descriptions will be added sporadically as we build out our vision for a broad curriculum.  

At present, these are all courses we ENVISION.  As they are built out, each one will be announced in the SLG newsletter and added to the catalog.

110 Courses:  Developing Thinking Skills

  • 111    Thinking Clearly Part 1 – Gathering Data

    To think better, you need to start with more data and the ability to sort out salient data.

    Our modern education broadly teaches us to find the one right answer.  While that is good for passing tests, it dulls your thinking considerably.  Add to that the simplistic and relentlessly repeated Bible stories which revolve around a single template: man had a problem; God fixed it with a miracle; all we need is more faith.

    This class will use familiar Bible stories and give you the tools to mine them for more data, so you can see a richer picture of interactive dynamics.

    Imagine playing Scrabble with only three letters at a time.  Then imagine playing Scrabble with 20 letters at a time.  This class will enable you to face life’s situations with more letters than before, thus being able to make dramatically better decisions.

    This set of strategic tools will help you in all facets of life – marriage issues, raising kids, dealing with people at work, and all other areas where complexity obscures paths forward.

    This class is a prerequisite for all the other 100 level classes.

  • 112    Thinking Clearly Part 2 – Weighting Data

    Prerequisite: 111 Thinking Clearly Part 1

    This follow-up class teaches you how to prioritize the data you have accrued.  The initial exercises will teach you how to generally prioritize, and the later exercises will show you how to prioritize differently depending on the objective.

    If you are trying to understand a redemptive gift by studying three people with that gift, the most important data will be different from what you need when you are studying the fractal of five, looking at the same three people.

    This class is optional for the 100 level courses, but highly advised.  A brief glance at the news or social media will show you how often trivial data points are made central to the story, while the significant data is ignored or marginalized.

  • 121    Redemptive Gift of Prophet

    Prerequisite: 111 Thinking Clearly Part 1

    The course price includes five audio clips extracted from prior teachings relative to this gift, as well as new teachings that are not available elsewhere.

    This is NOT an introductory level course to the redemptive gifts of individuals.

    We assume you have already shown the initiative to explore the redemptive gifts across multiple aspects of the fractal of seven.

    This is a father-style course for sons, not slaves.

    It will give you tools to assemble your own life plan building on the redemptive gift, the matching principle, the matching blessing, the matching level of the government of God and the matching head of Leviathan.

    When you have established where you currently are, in your own real life (not your wish life), we will look at the seven levels of fathering and your Trinitarian design, and build out a customized game plan for what your next two steps are in strategic growth, and how you can achieve that with the five resources you actually have.

    This course includes a section on how to maintain legitimacy in the face of widespread rejection.

    We assume you have already shown the initiative to explore the redemptive gifts across multiple aspects of the fractal of seven.

    It will give you tools to assemble your own life plan building on the redemptive gift, the matching principle, the matching blessing, the matching level of the government of God and the matching head of Leviathan.

130 Courses:  Deliverance from Curses

  • 131    Discerning Different Kinds of Curses

    Prerequisite: 111 Thinking Clearly Part 1

    There are ten different Hebrew words that are all translated by the English word “curse.”  This has huge implications for those seeking freedom. For example, “a curse without cause shall not alight” uses a different Hebrew word than God’s statement “cursed is the ground.”

    We will explore the markers that help you differentiate among curses on time, land, name, birth order, spirit, soul, body, birthright or offices, and others.

    Each one requires a different approach, but you have to determine which kind of curse you are dealing with, to know which approach to use for cleansing.
